Barrier Free Access To Persons With Disabilities Cell

“Barrier Free Access To Persons With Disabilities Cell” is constituted in the University for the welfare of Persons with Disabilities. The main objectives of the Cell are as follows:
  • To implement, monitor, and evaluate continuously the Reservation Policies of the Central and State Governments in consonance with the University Grants Commission regulations.
  • To establish helpdesk in Cell for assisting differently abled employees of the institution and students in getting admissions and other facilities for their studies.
  • To provide counselling to PWD students on the types of courses they could study for career opportunities.
  • To gather and implement the orders dealing with fee-concessions, examination procedures, reservation policies, etc., pertaining to PWD.
  • To assess the educational needs of PWD students enrolled in the University and to determine the types of assistive devices to be procured.
  • To conduct awareness programmes for staff (teaching and non-teaching) of the University.
  • To provide barrier free access to classrooms, laboratories, library, toilets, offices, etc. for free working and learning environment as per existing guidelines.
