The officer-in-charge, welfare generally perform such duties as assigned to him by the Vice Chancellor and Registrar from time to time such as:

• Representing students on University committees in relation to student welfare.
• Keeping the executive and students informed of all welfare matters.
• Reviewing and drafting welfare policy.
• Dealing with the matters of superannuation of employees.
• Organising the foundation day and convocation functions.
