ABOUT
Department Of Electronic Science

The Department was established in 1991, the Silver Jubilee year of the University, with the support of the UGC and DoE (Govt. of India) as one of the 11 such departments in the country to cater to the requirement of research personnel in the field of electronics and telecommunication. It offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. in electronic science in regular mode. It is well equipped with good laboratories, a departmental library, and furnished class rooms. Among the host of activities in the department of electronic science, the major ones are teaching and research. It has executed many sponsored projects by UGC, DRDO, CSIR, and DST. The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students with timely upgrades to the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. The teaching is closely coupled with the research activities of the department. Students are assessed through internal tests, semester examinations, and projects. The department actively helps the students with their placements and higher studies. Students graduating from the department have found prestigious positions in both government and private organizations. Many passed-out students have also become successful entrepreneurs.
